The T. Carter Fussell Awards

The T. Carter Fussell Outstanding Achievement Award program was created the Spring of 2001 to recognize the dramatic achievements of area high-schoolers. The Fussell Awards are presented each June.

T. Carter Fussell was a man of vision and a lover of the arts who worked to see that children and youth were given the chance to experience art in all forms. Fussell was a member of the Board of Directors of Wayside Theatre and served as treasurer until 2000. He also served in many leadership capacities in his hometown of Front Royal, VA.

This award was designed to recognize the youth of this region in their efforts to produce art in the world of the theatre. It is not a competition, but a way of promoting the wonderful work being done by our students.

Students are invited to an Award Ceremony after the end of the school year to celebrate their great work.
